I graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance in 2000. I performed professionally with the dance companies Chicago Tap Theatre, under the direction of Mark Yonally, and Jump Rhythm Jazz Project, under the direction of Billy Siegenfeld. In 2007, I earned an Emmy Award for Performance in the PBS documentary, Getting There: Jump Rhythm Jazz Project.

I'm Corey Lozier, and I've been teaching dance to students big & small for 25+ years. For me, the best way into a student's heart is a nice mix of silly and serious. I love all dance forms, but my heart has always belonged to tap dance. I also own a dance studio and I'm inspired every day by curious and clever students. My teaching career has also included teaching dance enrichment in preschools, and that experience alone has provided so much on-the-job problem-solving and new ideas.
