This tap lesson plan is created to be a supplement for tap teachers of school-age dancers. The goal of the Tap Happy lesson plans is to help present tap skills through the lens of rhythm, joy, creativity, and connection, using a system of exercises that build on one another.
This is MONTH 5 & 6 in the Level 2 system.
The Tap Happy Level 2 lessons are meant to be used for 3-4 weeks in a row during a 30-45 minute class. The students should be at least 8-9 years or older and have completed the Tap Happy Level 1 material or something comparable. If your students are brand new to tap or are between the ages 3-5 or 5-7, begin with the A Little Bit Of Tap Dance Magic series instead.
