Fruit Rhythms Tap Cards - rhythm & musicality training tool
Turn rhythm training into a playful, memorable experience with Fruit Rhythms Tap Cards! Using the natural syllables in fruit names, this resource helps dancers feel and internalize different note values, including quarter notes, eighth notes, triplets, and sixteenth notes, through tap shoes or body percussion.
When in doubt, say it out loud! Saying a rhythm out loud is one of the best ways to learn about the music we can make with our feet, and making those rhythms with familiar, fun words like fruit names makes it even more enjoyable. Watch abstract rhythm concepts click into place through sound, movement, and repetition.
Once your dancers have the basic rhythms down, use the pattern cards to challenge them to build a full step phrase using a variety of fruit rhythms, or hand them the small cards to create their own original patterns.
What's included:
- Fruit rhythm cards covering quarter, eighth, triplet, and sixteenth notes
- Pattern cards for building step phrases
- Small counts cards for student-created patterns
- A demonstration video to help you get started
A simple, low-prep way to build musicality, rhythm literacy, and tap technique, one fruit salad beat at a time!
